The story is about a kid that lost his Dad and his mother lost her job. One day he walks to the basketball court and meets this girl who just moved in the trailer home and the father almost made it to the NBA. They kept praticing and practicing.He went to the gym to do work on his game. He was making nine out of ten shots and his mom got her job back. The part I liked about this story is that Matt never gave up.

The Golden Compass is about a world where witches rule the morth and armored bears are the most dangerous hunters and people have gaurdian animals named daemons. There is a girl named Lyra gets a athilometer from the master of the collage and acedently spys on a meeting with that her Uncle lord Asriel and many other important poeple. Then a lady named mrs.Coulter takes her as a navigator to the north.Her golden monkey deamon finds out about the athelometer then she runs off  with a gyptain family. She meets John Faa lord of the gyptains and he tells her her dad is Lord Asriel and her mother is Mrs.Coutler then her adventure begins.

Will Joe and Frank solve both mysteries?

The Graveyard book is about somebody who was sent to kill a family named Jack. He had killed all but the baby. The baby crawls up to a graveyard where the ghosts there see him. The ghosts of his family ask the other ghosts to take care of him. The ghosts do not know his name so they name him Nobody or short Bod. Will Jack find Bod and succeed with killing him or will Bod live?

The Lemonade War is about a brother and sister that go into war with lemonade stands. To win they have to get 100 dollars in five days, and of they both get one hundred then its whoever gets more. Evan the brother steals Jessie his sister's money and he doesn't know but its also his friend Megan's money too. But when he loses the money because his friend stole it he feels so bad because that money isn't his. Will he get the money back before they show each other their money?

Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech

Walk Two Moons is a story about a girl named Salamanca (Sal) wo goes on an adventure to find her mother. Her dad, grandma, and grandpa are going on a car ride to look for her mom. Sal did not like the idea of leaving Ohio. Sal entertains her grandparents during the car ride and it turns out Sal has a magical time.

I like this book because I like the way she reunites with her mom.

The Best Halloween Ever by Barbara Robinson

    Every year of Halloween, the 6 annoying Herdmans steal candy from kids. The Herdmans also spray- paint the kids. The Hermans plan to steal everything from everyone. Even from the kid's parents. The 6 Hermans promise to do the same thing this year to the school and outside the school until there mayor cancels Halloween. The Hermans wish the mayor would cancel Halloween because the Hermans hate Halloween. The mayor cancels Halloween the next day and that means to the kids no candy and no fun. Just work, work, work all day at school. No recess either. At their school they have no recess unless if it is a special day or a birthday day.
     One day when a boy named Charlie passed by the mayor's office, Charlie saw a big, deep, dark hole. He went inside the office. There was no one in the office. He took a sneek peek inside the hole and when they looked inside there was 10 big bags full of............. candy!!!!
     I loved this book because this book was about Halloween and I love Halloween.
  I would recommend this book to people who love Halloween.
