Over the week at school I read Ramona and Beezus. Ramona has a very creative mind and it gets on her sister Beezus's mind alot.Ramona's favorite book is Steam Shovel Steve and she always makes Beezus read it to her.Beezus's birthday is coming up and Ramona ruined her birthday cake will Beezus's birthday be ruined or will her mom save the day

I liked the book because there is always a problem to be solved in these books.

This Book is Not Good For You is about Cass and her mom take cooking classes and they meet Senor Hugo, a famous cook. Then Senore Hugo invites Max-Earnest, Yo yoji, Cas,s and Cass's mom to his restaurant and Cass's mom goes missing...

When she gets to 5th grade everyone is caring about their grades and test scores. She pretends she was an average student even though she's not one just to make a point. She gets all D's and one C. Her principal figures out she is really smart and is mad at her. She is in big trouble. Will her best friend be mad at her for hiding a secret or will he be happy about it?

Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe

Robinson Crusoe is about kid who grows up and craves adventure on the high seas. His parents don't want him to go because his brother died in the army and his other brother ran away and never came back. He tried sailing with his friend's father and he liked it but their ship sunk and another ship saved them. They brought everyone on the ship back to port. He never met the kid and his father again. He met another captain and he taught Robinson everything about sailing. When they were on their adventure they were taken by pirates and sold as slaves. Luckily, Robinson escaped with another slave. When they found land they made a crew and sailed away. The ship crashed into a sandbar and every one died except Robinson. He stood there marooned on the island with no one to talk to.Will he survive?

I liked this book because it was about survival.

The First Day of School Forever by R. L. Stine

The First Day of School Forever is about a boy named Artie and he goes to a new school for sixth grade. A lot of strange and wierd things happen in this school. He keeps going though the same day over and over and over again. The most strangest part of the whole school has got to be the basement. That's where the most interesting things happen.....

I liked this book because while you are reading every time you stop reading to do something, it leaves you with a mystery.

My Life as a Book by Janet Tashjian

There is a kid who has a dog named Bodi. And he gets a pet monkey that cleans things up and helps with homework. Then he has to go to learning camp and doesn't want to. His neighbor and he are good friends and always mess around and go to each others' houses. And they try to find out a crime.

No Dogs Allowed by Bill Wallace

This book is about a girl that first had a horse but lost the horse. The girl's name is Kristine. She is very caring and polite. After Kristine lost her horse, she decided to never have a pet ever again because she thinks that if she gets a new pet then the new pet probably will get lost. The only thing that Kristine is worried about pets getting lost. But one day her dad got her a little, brown cute puppy to overcome her fears of dogs. But this time she actually said it was so cute and that she wanted to keep the dog. She named the dog, Mattie. First she wanted to name it Max or Matt but she just decided to name her dog a girlish name. So that's why she named it Mattie. Kristine loved Mattie so much. She played with her often. Kristine can resist a really cute little puppy's face.
      
I loved this book because I love dogs or puppies and I like to read dog books.
I think that maybe dog lovers will love this book, NO DOGS ALLOWED.

Catch That Pass by Matt Christopher

This book is about football. The division had four teams, the Cadets, the Vulcans, the Saturns, and the Astrojets. The first game of the season was a Cadets vs. Vulcans game. The Cadets lost and it was their only loss of the season. The Saturns were a really good team but not as good as the Cadets and the Vulcans. The Vulcans had a player who didn't want to play and he was scared to get tackled but he got rid of the fear. The next season the vulcans are going go be better, according to what the  book book said.

I like this book because it's about football and training and interceptions and other stuff about football.

P.S. The end is a "secret" and the guy who didn't want to play wound up being one of the best.

I loved this book. It was awesome.

Shiloh by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor

Marty Preston finds a dog and he keeps it because he knows it is Judd Traver's dog and from watching the chained up dogs in his yard he knows he mistreats them.Then he hides him in a pen up on their hill and calls him Shiloh. Marty asks Mr.Wallace (the owner of the local grocery store) for scraps of food for Shiloh but Mr.Wallace thinks it is for his family. Mr. Preston (who is a mailman) gets food in the mailboxes on his route. Finally Mrs.Preston finds about about Shiloh.

Do you think Marty will get to keep Shiloh permanently?

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Dog Days is about a boy named Greg and his two brothers Rodrick and Manny. Greg gets blamed on everything but most of it is not true because either one of his brothers did it.One day Greg was inside and his mom wanted him to go outside but Greg didn't want to so one day Greg's mom was shopping with Greg and they saw Rowley with his mom and dad.

I liked this book.  I like all of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books because they are funny.

Goosebumps Ghost Camp by R.L. Stine

Goosebumps Ghost Camp was really descrptive so I felt like I was at Camp Moonspirit and weird things were happening and my brother was feeling welcomed. My brother and I have a lot of disagreements and differences.

 Readers who are in for a scare would like this book.

Alice in Wonderland Adapted by T.T. Sutherland Based on the Novel by Lewis Carroll

Alice in Wonderland is based on the story of Wonderland after the movie happens. But the rabbit got the wrong Alice! The new Alice is suposed to slay the Red Queen's pet Jabberwocky which she soon figures out. She goes to the Mad Hatter's tea party to get the Mad Hatter and the Dormouse. But she has to go in the Red Queen's castle to get the Vorpal Sword to slay the Jabberwocky. The Mad Hatter and the Dormouse are captured and have to get there heads cut off but the Chesire Cat and his dissapering body save them. They head to the White Queen's castle for the battle between Alice and the Jabberwocky. Does Alice beat the Jabberwocky and have everyone turn against the Red Queen or does the Jabberwacky put an end to Alice?

I liked this book because you didn't know what would happen next!

I loved this book. It is the second book in the series. You have got to read this!

Meanwhile Roahn  comes to Gondor's aid in the fight while they fight the orcs so that Sam and Frodo can destroy the ring in the cracks of doom. After the Orcs capture Frodo Sam tries to rescue Frodo so they can destroy the ring in the cracks of doom. Once they got to the cracks of doom they battle Sauron.

Judy loves Nancy Drew books she read all of them. So she uses Nancy Drew as an inspiration. Judy goes out looking for a mystery. She keeps looking and looking,but she can not find any. She finally gave up. One day Judy had an assembly. A police officer came with a dog. His name was Mr.Chips The dog was absolutly adorable,and he was smart. A few days later the loud speaker came on. Judy could  not believe her ears Mr.Chips was stolen. How will Judy Moody Girl Detective crack the case.I liked this book because each page makes you want to read more.  

Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

The story is about the adventures that Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy go on. They meet new people, make new friends, and have great experiences. They do not have alot but is did not matter because they had each other.

I liked this book because it was a great story and a well written one too. I would definitely recommend this book to anybody who is willing to read it.  

Boy at War Heroes Don't Run by Henry Mazer

This is a great book if you like history.The story is about a kid that lost his Dad at Pearl Harbor so now he wants to join the marine corp but he knows that his mother would never let him do that.So he goes to his grandfather.  He has to go across the contry to see him but he is kind of upset that he lies to his mother.

The reason I liked the book is that I like to study the history about the army and the book is funny.

The Adventures Of Tom Sawyer in the certain version I read is about a kid named Tom and his freind Huckelberry who witness a murder in the graveyard. Injun Joe killed a doctor because the docter knocked out Injun Joe's friend Muff Potter. When Muff Potter woke up Injun Joe wasn't there and the knife was in Muff Potter's hand and there was a crowd around him.Huckleberry and Tom make a promise to never tell anyone because Injun Joe will kill them whenever he gets the chance. But Tom broke his promise at Muff Potter's trial and said it was Injun Joe. So Injun Joe jumped out of his seat and escaped the courthouse.

I liked this book because it was adventurous.

Hank has to write 5 paragraphs on paper.  He is bad at writing. His Papa Pet asks him and his freind to do a magic show for him at the bowling alley.  His teacher tells him he has wonderful imagination.  Hank wonders why he has to write if he has so much imagination.

I like the book because it was funny.

The Humming Room by Ellen Potter

She also finds a garden that her uncle sealed up because her uncle's wife died there. But then Roo starts hearing strange humming noises. Has Roo's aunt's spirit come back to the garden?

The Legend of Thunderfoot by Bill Wallace

The Legend of Thunderfoot is about a roadrunner who got bit by a baby rattlesnake during his first few weeks of life. His feet would be swollen for his whole life. He can't run and he is exposed. That's why he needs protection from an old family friend named Berland. He is a tortoise. Berland will protect him from bobcats and snakes. Berland is going to bring him to his nest.

 

The theme of the book is if you just try you can do anything.

 

I liked this book because he tries to live even though he can't run.



The Tiger Rising by Kate DiCamillo

This book is about a young boy named Rob Horton. Rob discovers a large and very real tiger in a big, huge cage. This all started off on a misty Florida morning. But on the same day Rob meets Sistine Bailey and begins to understand that some things like memories and tigers can't be locked up forever in a cage. As Rob and Sistine learn to trust each other and to be good friends to each other. But also there is one more thing I have to tell you. It is that Rob moved to Lister, Florida from Jackonsville. Ever since his mother's death, Rob has shut up his feelings in a 'suitcase' tightly and clamped it together to secure his own feelings to forget about it. He is determined that nothing will let him ever cry again. Rob hopes to not cry over his mother's death.

I think my family would enjoy this book because it is a book that my dad enjoys very much. I love this book because it tells about how to behave well and act friendly to your friends and other people you meet.
